Ride the shuttle through the whole valley: Yin-Yang Valley, Hunter's Peak, Sun-Moon Mirror and Five-Colour Mountain, with birch and poplar low down and spruce, fir and larch higher up. Four hours, and the peaks never leave the windscreen.

双桥沟全程34公里，乘观光车游玩（70元/人敬请自理，游览约4小时）；沟内以雪峰、牧场、草地、森林为主，主要景点有阴阳谷、猎人峰、日月宝镜和五色山等。

Twenty-nine kilometres of valley, ten of them normally walked: primeval forest, ancient cypress, Zhamu Tibetan village, a Gelugpa monastery, the dead-tree shoal and the red stone array. Walk it, or hire a horse from the licensed company.

长坪沟全长29公里，一般游玩前面10公里（游览约4小时，观光车20元/人敬请自理）；沟内植被丰富茂盛，分布着大片原始森林，可观赏樟木藏寨、格鲁派喇嘛寺、古柏幽道、枯树滩、净心洞、洗身池、擂鼓石、金鸡岭等，红石阵张扬着大自然的伟力。可步行或租骑当地马匹（费用自理）。

Breakfast is at the hotel; the three main meals include two speciality tables — a 'niu bao bei' hotpot or a highland wood-fish lunch in Rilong. Ten to a table, eight dishes and a soup.

Meet around 06:40 for a 07:00 start, out through Dujiangyan and the Zipingpu works, up the Min river to Yingxiu, then into Wolong — China's earliest composite national reserve, two hundred thousand hectares of it, on the south-east flank of the Qionglai range.

早上约07:00指定地点统一集合出发，经都江堰、紫坪埔水利工程，沿岷江而上，经都汶高速抵映秀；而后从映秀出抵卧龙（卧龙自然保护区位于汶川县西南部、邛崃山脉东南坡，始建于1963年，面积20万公顷，是中国最早建立的综合性国家级保护区之一）。

Through the 7,954 m Balang Shan tunnel: cloud sea, azaleas, lichen and high meadow, and the vegetation changing from evergreen broadleaf to alpine desert within the hour. Then Cat's Nose Ridge for the panorama, and lunch in Rilong.

后沿卧龙峡谷欣赏峡谷小桥、流水、枯藤、老树的美丽风光，穿越巴郎山隧道（全长7954米），可观云海、映山红、红白杜鹃花、松萝、高山草甸等，感受「一山观四季、十里不同天」；猫鼻梁观四姑娘山全景尽情摄影后，抵赴日隆享用牛宝贝汤锅或高原木子鱼特色午餐。

Four hours in Shuangqiao Valley (shuttle ¥70 at your own cost). In the evening you can add the 《Meeting Sigula》 Tibetan Gar theatre by Rongzhong Erjia (¥228–298 by seat) or a Jia Rong Tibetan hotpot dinner (¥180) — both optional, both about an hour.

午餐后前往双桥沟（观光车70元/人敬请自理）游览约4小时。晚可自费欣赏由容中尔甲老师打造的《遇见斯古拉》大型藏族嘎尓戏（228-298元/人，约1小时）或自费享用嘉绒藏族特色土火锅或藏餐（180元/人，约1小时）。

After breakfast, about four hours in Changping Valley (shuttle ¥20 at your own cost, optional): through primeval forest and across streams, with the four peaks ahead — Da, Er, San and Si Gu Niang — and Zhamu village, the Gelugpa monastery, the ancient cypress path, the dead-tree shoal, Mind-Clearing Cave and the red stone array on the way.

早餐后约07:00前往长坪沟（游览约4小时，观光车20元/人敬请自理）游览，穿越原始森林、穿过小溪、遥望雪山，可看到大姑娘、二姑娘、三姑娘及四姑娘山，另可观赏樟木藏寨、格鲁派喇嘛寺、古柏幽道、枯树滩、净心洞、洗身池、擂鼓石、金鸡岭等。

Walk, or ride a horse hired from the licensed company (¥100–300, at your own cost, and only with a handler leading it). Lunch around 13:00, then the road back over Balang Shan and through Wolong, breaking up in Chengdu in the evening.

Altitude here runs 2,500–3,800 m: choose to walk downhill from the higher points, do not exert yourself, and do not drink alcohol at 3,200 m.

四姑娘山景区海拔2500-3800米，游览时请选择从海拔高的景点往下步行，不要做剧烈运动以免高原反应；入住地区海拔3200米，建议不要饮酒。

Tickets and passports Both valley tickets are bought at agency package rates that already include the concession, so no concession or free-entry refund is given twice over. Altitude and horse riding The scenic area runs 2,500–3,800 m and your hotel is at about 3,200 m: walk downhill from the higher points, take it slowly and skip the alcohol. Horse riding is a high-risk activity outside the agency's liability — hire only from the licensed company with insurance, always with a handler leading, never at a gallop, and dismount on steep ground. 四姑娘山景区海拔2500-3800米，入住地区海拔3200米；游览时请从海拔高的景点往下步行，不要剧烈运动、不要饮酒。骑马为高风险项目，不在旅行社承责范围内：须到马匹公司租用含保险的马匹，由马夫牵马骑行，不能独自骑马、不能骑马奔跑，险路和上下坡路须下马步行。

How large is the group and what vehicle is used? 团型与车辆

A shared-coach departure: the vehicle is sized to the number of guests and everyone gets one seat. With sixteen or fewer there is no guide and the driver handles rooms and meals without commentary.

Warm layers — the plateau is cold at night and hot at midday — plus sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm. Hotels on the mountain are simple and may cut power or water; bring your own toiletries and any medicines you need.
