The No. 1 glacier runs 14.7 km — the longest of Gongga Shan's 71 glaciers — from 6,750 m down to 2,850 m, where the ice tongue pushes six kilometres into primeval forest. Ice arches, ice caves, ice steps and ice gates form as it moves.

海螺沟冰川又称一号冰川，全长14.7公里，是贡嘎山71条冰川中最长的一条，面积16平方公里，最高海拔6750米、最低海拔仅2850米；冰川舌伸入原始森林达6公里，形成冰川与森林共存的奇绝景观，运动中形成冰弧拱、冰洞、冰阶梯、冰门、冰湖、冰峰。

The Great Ice Falls and Minya Konka

Cable car to camp four (¥135 return) for the panorama: the Great Ice Falls, 500–1,100 m wide and 1,080 m high — the largest glacier waterfall found in China — and, on a clear day, Gongga Shan, the King of Shu mountains, at 7,556 m.

The Luding Bridge

泸定桥 · 1705年古索桥

Built in 1705 and the first stable iron-chain bridge over the Dadu river, it carried Sichuan's trade into the Khams plateau for 270 years — and in May 1935 the Red Army's crossing here made it a monument of the Long March.

泸定桥始建于康熙四十四年（1705年），是大渡河上第一座稳固的大铁索桥；1935年5月29日红军飞夺泸定桥的伟大胜利使它成为红军长征史上的一座丰碑，270多年来一直是四川内地通往康藏高原的重要通道。

A Hot Spring Under the Glacier

海螺沟天然养生温泉（赠送）

Soak near camp one for about an hour: water heated under the glacier itself. Bring your own swimsuit; the pools are hot at the outlet, the edges are slippery, and children and older guests need to be accompanied.

入住酒店后前往一号营地附近沐浴海螺沟天然养生温泉（约1小时），深切感受来自海螺沟冰川地底的热力；需自带泳衣裤，出水口温度高小心烫伤，池边路滑请小心慢行，未成年人及老人须成人陪同。

Dinner on day one is a local hotpot or soup pot (¥20 standard, no refund if skipped), then a free evening in Moxi — a town with a 1923 French church and a Long March site, at 1,500 m.

Leave Chengdu at about 07:30 across the Sichuan plain, through Ya'an and the new Erlang Shan tunnel, and into Luding for about thirty minutes on the bridge itself.

早上约07:30成都出发，赏川西平原风光，感受雅安魅力；走雅康高速穿越新二郎山隧道，经泸定县参观始建于康熙四十四年（1705年）的古索桥—泸定桥（游览约30分钟）。

On to Moxi, the gateway town: a French church built in 1923, a Red Army site from the Long March, and a main street of wooden shopfronts. Check in, then into the natural hot spring near camp one for about an hour.

前往海螺沟门户—磨西古镇，这里有当年红军长征时的旧址，有法国人1923年来此建的教堂，使古镇别有一番风情和魅力。入住酒店后前往一号营地附近沐浴海螺沟天然养生温泉（约1小时）。

Dinner is a local hotpot or soup pot. Moxi sits at 1,500 m: go easy on the alcohol, and note that hotel doors usually close at 22:00.

晚享用当地特色汤锅/土火锅（赠送项目，不参加不退费）。磨西镇海拔1500米，建议不要饮酒；酒店晚上关门时间一般为22:00，请尽早回酒店休息。

At the park gate by 07:00, then the shuttle (¥70 at your own cost) through primeval forest via camps one and two — four seasons in one climb. From camp three, choose your line.

早上约07:00在磨西镇海螺沟景区大门口集合（游览约4小时），乘景区观光车（70元/人敬请自理）经一号营地、二号营地穿越原始森林，沿途欣赏河谷原始森林风光，感受「一山观四季、十里不同天」。

Line one, the classic: stay on the shuttle to Ganheba, then the cable car to camp four (¥135 return) for the Great Ice Falls and Minya Konka at 7,556 m. Line two, the science walk: buggy or foot to Crescent Lake (buggy ¥30 return / ¥20 one way), then a guided 1.5 km walk onto the ice to the ice cave mouth — crevasses 50–150 m deep, with an expert guide (¥128, own cost).

线路一（常规经典）：在三号营地继续乘观光车至干河坝停车场，乘景区便民观景索道上四号营地看冰川（往返135元/人自愿自费），可观大冰瀑布与贡嘎山主峰（7556米）。线路二（科考探索）：在三号营地徒步或乘电瓶车（往返30元/人、单程20元/人）前往月牙湖，开始科考徒步体验（单边约1.5km，128元/人敬请自理），专业向导带队前往冰窖口，近距离观察冰裂缝、冰蘑菇、冰洞等冰川地貌。

Lunch in Moxi at your own cost around 13:00, then the road home through Ya'an, arriving in Chengdu around 19:00. Camp three is at 2,900 m and camp four at 3,650 m — walk, do not run.

13:00-14:00磨西镇自理午餐后告别磨西古镇，约19:00左右返成都统一散团。三号营地海拔2900米、四号营地海拔3650米，请不要剧烈运动以免高原反应；冰裂缝深约50-150米，请勿靠近，严禁横跨冰川、跨越安全警戒线。

Tickets and passports The Hailuogou and Luding Bridge tickets are bought at agency package rates that already include the concession, so no concession or free-entry refund is given twice over; overseas passport holders pay the full adult rate. Children under 1.2 m enter free but must be accompanied by an adult. Luding Bridge is a complimentary stop: if it cannot be visited for force majeure, or you skip it, there is no refund. 所含门票均为旅行社打包价格已予以优免，所有优免一律不再重复免退；外宾按全价执行。1.2米以下儿童免大门票，但需大人带领进入景区。泸定桥为赠送景点，如因人力不可抗拒原因不能游览或游客自愿放弃，无退费。

Safety on the ice and in the water The glacier walk is a real hike: crevasses run 50–150 m deep, the ice above the seracs is fissured, and crossing a safety line is forbidden. Go with the guide, stay on the marked trail, and skip it if the weather turns. In the hot springs: no alcohol first, no swimming alone, children and older guests accompanied, and watch the pool edges. 冰川科考线路具一定徒步性，不宜高龄游客及体力弱者参加；务必结伴而行、遵循专业向导带领，沿景区规定步行道游览，不要跨越安全警戒线；冰裂缝深约50-150米，冰塔林以上冰裂缝众多，严禁横跨冰川。泡温泉前请勿饮酒，心脏病、高血压、脑溢血、冠心病患者及孕妇、酒后严禁泡温泉；未成年人及老人须成人陪同，池边路滑小心慢行。

Moxi, where you sleep, is at 1,500 m; camp three inside the park is 2,900 m and camp four 3,650 m. Move slowly at the top and expect mist, rain or snow underfoot at any time of year.

磨西镇海拔1500米；景区三号营地海拔2900米、四号营地海拔3650米，请不要剧烈运动以免高原反应；景区常有雨雾天气、冬天雪地路滑，请踩稳慢行。

Is there a guide, and in what language? 导游服务

A licensed Chinese-speaking group guide travels with the group; English-speaking guides are available for private custom tours.

中文拼团持证导游服务（持全国导游证），私家定制团可安排英文导游。

Should I book a train or flight for the second night? 返程安排

Better not. The road back is long and mountain conditions vary; the group usually reaches Chengdu around 19:00, but delays happen. Book for the following day.

此行程时间相对紧凑，建议不要预定当天回程的车、船、飞机等；一般约19:00返抵成都，如遇延误恕无法承担误车误机损失。

What should I pack? 行前准备

Daytime 0–15°C with a big day-night swing and strong UV: bring rain gear, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm layers and your usual medicines, plus a swimsuit for the hot spring. Flat shoes rather than heels.
